GIGANTIC EARLY WMF CENTERPIECE SILVER PLATED. !! - ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS - !! !! - DO NOT MISS IT - !! ANY QUESTION IN ENGLISH OR FRENCH ? YOU ARE WELCOME ! Fantastic centerpiece representing a golden stag under a big silver oak surmounted with a spectacular big glass bowl on the top. The silverplarted brass monture is a real marvel, a realist tree with trunk, branches and leaves. Two leaves are missing but you may file it so it will be invisible. The animal is gilded pewter. The bowl is in perfect conditions. It is cutted with typiccal decors of 19th century. All elements are of epoch. Thank of an ebayer, I received some informations about this WMF piece. It is listed in the WMF catalogue (see image below). T is a difference with the glass bowl. I do not know whether the glass bowl was the only one to be mounted on the base or if t were some variants of bowls. What ever the case may be, this bowl is an antique originally built on purpose to be mounted on a centerpiece and not recently changed. If you are a WMF collector and only buy the items on the base of the printed records, certainely you will be a little hesitant. But if your decision is based on the decorative effect and the authenticity of the elements in regard with the epoch, you will surely be convinced by a so marvellous and exceptionnal piece.
