Here's a really nice example of the No. 740 Handcar that the A.C. Gilbert Company produced for their American Flyer line of 'S' Gauge toy trains during the 1950s. One of the red plastic lanterns is missing, and that's easily replaced. Only real issue is one of the orange plastic platform extensions had snapped off, which is fairly typical. The other three are intact and there are no other cracks or chips. No corrosion either. Decals are sharp on both sides. A great addition to any layout or collection.
