Gilbert American Flyer HO Bakelite Roadbed Track and Switches. The Bakelite roadbed track and switches for HO by Gilbert came out in the late 1930s and early 1940s as best I know. 12 Pieces of curve make one 32 inch circle. I have three pair of switches in just fair condition due to some chips in the Bakelite and some repairs made to some switches. These switches have not been checked for operation so just consider them as is for parts and if lucky they might word. I don't have any controllers for the switches. Also included are two curve tracks with connections under the track to apply power. The wires have been cut but they are still soldered to the connectors on the bottom. One is the light brown bakelite and the other is the dark brown. The track listed is in excellent condition for the age. I looked over a box of them and sorted out only the unbroken or undamaged and in complete working condition. What I have listed in this auction are 12 straight pieces in the dark brown Bakelite, 18 straight pieces in the light Brown Bakelite, 14 curve pieces in the dark Brown Bakelite and 2 curve pieces used for power. So this if for all 46 pieces of track and 3 pair of switches. All connecting pins are in each piece. Rails on the track and switches are pretty clean and consider to be usable. I have never used this type of track so not sure read more
