WELCOME Thank you for visiting! This is a beautiful Imari charger. I bought it at an estate auction and have no provenance, and since I can't read the cartouche on the back I do not know the country of origin. The lady who is featured in the art work appears to be wearing a traditional fancy Korean dress--it does not appear to be a kimono. She is walking alongside a wall beneath an umbrella of flowers, while carrying a stool on her shoulder. The base glaze of this charger is an ecru color and the border is overlaid with a dark teal color. T is a profusion of flowers in a riot of colors and t are gilded separations of parts of the artwork as well as rococo-style flourishes to highlight the charger. It is about twelve inches in diameter. T is moderate crazing throughout the piece and beyond that, nothing to call. Feel free to ask questions before you bid.
