This no reserve auction is for one of my hand painted 1/43rd scale driver figures which depicts Gilles Villeneuve as he salutes the crowd following his first F1 victory for Ferrari in his home town of Montreal back in 1978 driving the 312T4 and wearing his early red suit with with outer white stripes on the arms and legs. The auction is for the FIGURE ONLY and DOES NOT include any model car, the base, any background, or indeed the Euro coin. This is a high quality Denizen white metal casting and like all my finished figures, it has been fully primed, undercoated, painted in acrylics and finished with two coates of matt/dull varnish (helmet has been gloss coated) and ready for display. I have modified the original head of the figure (using Miliput) to achieve a facial likeness and I have also added the distinctive driving boots with the integral gaiter which Villeneuve always wore. The logos on the front and back of the suit are decals (which have been sealed beneath matt varnish). The figure will be shipped cushioned within layers of protective bubble wrap and then inside a custom made double box to protect it in transit. Having said that, the BUYER SHOULD BE AWARE that although every precaution is employed to protect the figure while in transit, there is a possibility that the base (although securely attached) could become detatched, read more
