The famous Gillette slim adjustable double edge safety razor sometimes called thelong or slim boy. This razor was made in the fall/winter of 1962 with a date code of H-4 and works perfectly. The twist to open handle locks down smooth and tight and the adjustment dial works like new as well. The numbers have all their original black paint. T is no brassing or plating loss anyw I can see. I would say this razor is in excellent to nearly mint condition and shows virtually none of the normal dings and wear common to a 46 year old razor. The desirable slim adjustable has a nice heft, a great balance and makes shaving a true pleasure. Made in the USA! Uses all modern double edge razor blades. This razor was designed to be a durable tool that would sell blades for Gillette so it is built to last. With proper care this great razor should last decades. The long handle twists open to change the double edge blades and the dial above adjusts the blade from 1 mild to 9 aggressive. The razor was thoroughly scrubbed, cleaned, boiled and finally polished and most likely has not seen use in decades. Ready to shave, just add lather.This is a great piece of American craftsmanship that works as well now as it did the day it rolled off the factory floor 46 years ago and shaves better than any 5 blade gimmicky plastic razor available today.
