Extremely rare on ebay: Gio Ponti prototype desk bar boat from 1960 made from teak wood and metalical structure; very long: 4m35 exclueding the end round bar which diameter is 1m15. a lot of big and deep compartiments and also small boxes. One can store vintage stereo records in a special compartiment.... The desk part boat sets against the wall and the round bar fits on the end sharp part of the desk which is specially sharp hand-cutted made to spouse the round bar shape perfectly. The wall must have a minimum length of 5 meters to allow this desk fit on it!!! Not enough space was were the pictures were made, the round bar fits actually to the end sharp point of the boat. Watch the pictures and admire this unique design bar-desk. Dimensions: boat desk part: L: 4m35 H: 90 cm and wideness on the end largest part: 1m bar: diameter: 1m15 H: 90 cm The desk is located in Monte-Carlo, Monaco. (Europe) A certificate of authenticity will be delivered with this desk. If not sold on ebay to a design lover will be send to Christies and present on the 2006 winter New York modern design furniture public auction.
