G. Cappe Drunk Homeless ManUp for auction...A Capodimonte figurine by artist Giuseppe Cappe. It is of a older man that may be homeless, drunk and passed out on his arm. Large bottle of wine at his side. It is a very unique, for it just has the head, one leg, one arm and no body. Greatly detailed, showing the veins in the hand and head area, grey finger and toe nails and wrinkles. Very unusual, but gorgeous at the same time. Made with quality. On the back of the base of the figurine, is impressed with "G Cappe". It has the Capodimonte blue "N" with the crown backstamp. Also, has a gold foil label of "Focke & Meltzer" across the top and "Adam Den Haag Arnhem" along the bottom of the label.This unique figurine measures 6 3/4" tall, with an oval base of 3 1/2" x 3".It has no cracks. The white hair strands on the head and mustache has some areas that are pretty delicate. It all seems to be ok, but one strand on the bushy eyebrows might have flaked off. Hard to tell.International buyers....this will have to be shipped USPS Priority Mail, for shipping with Insurance is a must.
