For sale is a very nice heavy glass cloche that appears to be handmade. The top was definitely applied by hand, but the rest of the glass shows small air bubbles and lines from when it was formed, and it appears to be quite old. These unique pieces do display delicate items, protect plants and for taxidermy and cut flower displays. This particular one was purchased along with some other vintage science equipment from a large public school district. The outside measures just over 12" tall and 7" across at the base. The inside is 10" tall and 6" across. The glass is over 1/2" thick and the over all weight of the cloche is about 8 1/2lbs! Overall the glass is in very nice condition. It does have lines and small air bubbles from when it was made, but no cracks! There is a small chip on the inside of the rim, but due to the location it is not really visible when in use. This item will be securely packaged with bubble wrap and foam and will ship fully insured!
