DO YOU HAVE BEAUTIFUL ITEMS OF GLASS THAT ARE MARRED BY UNSIGHTLY SCRATCHES, STAINS OR CHIPS. Well here is the answer. All you need to add is water and patience plus some effort . Why buy one of my kits? I am a professional glass restorer and I have been using these powders for over 20 years to remove scratches - stains - chips etc. from vases - drinking glasses - bowls - decanters - etc. when you purchase a kit from me you get a email helpline to access my expert advice, other sellers of glass polishing products are just retailers and do not have the knowledge to offer after sales help and advice. Other sellers will tell you that all you need is Cerium Oxide to polish away scratches in glass, this is true for the lightest of scuffs and marks but, as those who have tried will know, it will have little effect on scratches. The kit consists of 4 tubs containing 25g each of 4 different grades of rare earth polishing powders,4 pieces of chamois for hand application, a piece of abrasive cloth plus instructions. COMPLETELY CHEMICAL FREE. To view my glass polishing Hints & Tips on YouTube just In the example below I am removing a very severe bloom from a lovely uranium glass vase. This vase was bought to me by a customer who had tried all the usual "remedies" , lime scale remover, denture cleaner, scourer etc. none of these worked although the scourer did leave many light scratches. The reason this type of "staining" can't be removed in the conventional way is that it is not a true stain, the lime in the water reacts with the composition of the glass resulting in millions of micro pits to the surface of the glass and it is the light distortion created by these pits that gives the elusion of staining, that is why the stain appears to disappear when water is added as the water fills the pits thus allowing the light to pass through. The only way to cure this problem is to polish the surface smooth again and that is what these micro abrasive and fine polishing powders do . When polishing inside vases etc. I mark numbered sections to the outside in marker pen (when polishing the outside I mark inside) as it is easy to forget where you have polished when it is mucky with polish. In the photo above you can clearly see the area being worked on and the difference it makes. Below are several photos of before and after, you will also find that during the process of removing the bloom many most of the light scratches will also be removed, deaper scratches will need a little more work. Some light scratches and stains can be removed in minutes some deeper scratches and stains can take considerably longer. There are four grades of polishing powder in this kit, course, medium, fine + polishing. All just require a small amount of water and you are ready to rub away those scratches and stains. As I stated earlier I have been using these products for over 20 years, it took several years of trial and error, listening to old wives tales, reading so called restoration books before I discovered these powders and that was thanks to a publication describing ancient treatments on glass.
