This very large Japanese glass negative dates from around 1930, and depicts a wedding party's portrait.
T are no significant scratches to the glass, but t is a one-inch (25mm) crack in the lower left-hand corner (that is, to the left in the positive scan). This crack goes up from the very corner and then curves back toward the left edge, extending about 3/8" (9mm) into the image. It does not appear to be loose, and only just barely crosses over the green cropping tape. The green cropping tape is add to the emulsion side of the plate. The "printed" image in the sample pic is a flat-bed scan of the negative with the colors reversed; actual prints would probably be sharper and of course have better grays and contrasts. Measures W8 7/16" (214mm) X H6 7/16" (164mm).
