3 1/4" X 4" vintage glass photo for use as a Magic Lantern Slide from the Thane L.Bierwert Estate. More about Thane below. This slide is not dark, it's overcast right now for my photos. This image is of another fine museum taxidermy exhibit of a Grizzly Bear. Some images I found two, one framed and one not. That is it, no more. The glass slides that are not framed may have a little loose film by the very edges of the glass and/or a little dirt so please handle carefully and do any cleaning in a correct manor. Background light you see is my skylight. This week we will be listing many images from Tuesday to Thursday so please check our other items listed. Thane Bierwert was a well noted author and photographer. He was also the acting chief for the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Thane traveled the world, with his 1930's African and New Guinea Safari trips being most noted.You can find alot more about Thane with some easy search efforts. I'll be listing lantern slides and positive glass images intended for magic lanterns.All will have to do with his trips or the museum.You will want to check all my listings because I can not identify many and I'm sure t is sleepers.
