Three Post Cards Milton Bridge Glencorse Milton Bridge Camp Officer's Mess and Two Views of Milton Bridge one looking West and One East. Good condition, light inward curl, all cards unused, free of writing, no date Circa 1960's, their is a mini car in one picture which would make it post 1959. These cards were purchased from Milton Bridge Post Office shown in the 'Looking East' view, the post office is now closed. Glencorse Barracks,previously the depôt of the Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment) and Scottish Infantry Depot now home to 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland (Royal Highland Fusiliers) originally consisted of an old mansion which in 1804, was used for a depôt for French prisoners of war expanding to accommodate 6000 prisoners. The Milton Bridge camp has been demolished and has been replaced by Service families' accommodation and transport depot. --------------
