Welcome to The Old Above I sell restored vintage lighting. What I love is bringing fixtures back to their original appearance. I don’t alter them, add parts, change the colors, or anything. I’m very pleased to offer this STUNNING 3-shade 1930s chrome and glass crystal chandelier! Please note that the images have not been enhanced. The chrome really does look that good! The shades are striking! They are a combination of frosted white with clear accents of rich detail! Yum! The center stem is intricate pieces of glass, and with five crystals drops. Subtle and elegant! Yum, yum! The chain (original!) is also chrome-plated, as is the original canopy. Oh, and don’t miss the new cloth-covered wiring! This fixture is ideal for a medium-to-small living or dining room, and I can also imagine the fixture in your newly renovated kitchen or spa-style bath! Wholly restored and with new sockets and wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed! DETAILS : The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs. The arms on the fixture are not absolutely level. I don’t think they ever were. As you can see from the images however, this is not readily obvious. COLOR : Chrome. Frosted white glass. Clear glass. SIZE : The fixture hangs down about 20-inches. I can remove 2-inches of chain. I can add chain. The fixture is an impressive 17-inches wide. CONDITION : Amazingly, with all that glass there’s no damage save some flea bites to the upper edges of the shades. This really doesn’t register. I mean that. The chrome on the 3-arm is very good with just a bit of wear on the arms. I wish to stress that this is not obvious. The Bakelite sockets and wiring are new. The crystal drops are new. The fixture had such crystals originally (I’ve sold these fixtures many times over the years). SHIPPING : Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE! Yippee! NOTE : After payment is received, I ship within 7 days. TIPS TO BUYING VINTAGE LIGHTS ON EBAY SCALE. I believe that scale is everything. If the vintage fixture you buy is too small (or large) for your room, it will not look right no matter how beautiful it is. A fixture that is, say, 12-inches wide was meant for a smaller bedroom or hall. A 16-inch wide fixture was meant for a normal size living/dining room. All this presupposes that you do not have a mansion! If so, you would need much larger fixtures. McMansions also have bigger rooms than most pre-WWII homes. INSURANCE. Beware of sellers who state: I am not responsible after shipping. Or: If you don’t take out insurance I am not responsible. Both these statements are contrary to new eBay policy. Every seller IS responsible for the safe delivery of anything they ship. If you receive an item that has been damaged during shipping, first contact the seller and request a 100% refund including shipping (it helps to send images of the damage).
