IF YOU HAVE PROBLEM WITH ELECTRONIC PAYMENT LET ME KNOWWell, ladies and Gentleman for those of you who are Globe Wernicke/Macey stack barrister legal bookcase collectors, restorers and fans these are EXACTLY what you need to finish detailing your bookcase units. This auction is for 2 (two) matching pair (left and right) bookcases HOOK door hinge assemblies. I have gone to considerable expense, time and effort to have these produced. THESE ARE EXACTING DOWN TO THE LAST MICRON OF MEASUREMENT, MATERIAL AND FINISH! If I were not telling you that they were new production it would be impossible for you to know they weren't 100 year old production parts. They also come with the correct attaching nails with the proper head size and length. I have had many calls for these in the past and they went for high prices to discriminating restorers. The only source was robbing original doors (SECOND PICTURE). These are the only correct ones ever offered on ebay! See my other ad on ebay for the later square hinge assembly. These early hook hinge assemblies will work on all makes of bookcases as well but were found on all early Globe Wernicke cases. Additional quantities of these are available to the winning bidder at a discount and with free shipping. They work perfectly with the factory door hinge roller bearings and tracts. Installed they are identical in color to the original production hinges. If these are missing the door will not stay on the front of the case without falling outward and will not pivot for recessing smoothly. Also the door assemblies rest on the hinge as it glides along the tract and if missing this forces the door surface to be dragged along the top of the bearing loosening the bearing attachment, damaging the wood on the door and slowing the progress of a door that should otherwise open with great ease. They are exacting production door hinge assemblies for ALL "C", "D", "E", "G", "H", "S" and the 41" wide commercial series bookcase units. These also are ideal if you are converting the Macey units to Globe Hardware to get them to function properly. THESE COME WITH THE CORRECT SIZE AND STYLE MOUNTING SCREWS. THE OTHER HINGES FOR SALE ON EBAY DO NOT AND THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY WRONG WHEN INSTALLED!!! I have 400+ stack units in my inventory and library and these fit in perfectly with my original units.
