MOVING SALE IN SANTA MONICA -- This listing ends on Sunday 3/27, with requirements of prompt settlement by PayPal and local pick-up on that same day, Sun 3/27, by 5 pm or on one of the two following days, Mon 3/28 or Tue 3/29, by 5 pm. GLOBE WERNICKE -- Mahogany (as opposed to oak), reddish tones, a wood-paneled lower stack, and clean lines make this Globe Wernicke a special antique. CIRCA 1910 -- In 2001 dollars I paid just over $1,500, purchasing the bookcase from a knowledgeable seller in Maine (see record below) who estimated the bookcase to have been made between 1905 and 1910. DEEPER AT BASE -- The dimensions are 63” in height and 34” in width, with the base and bottom cabinet deeper (15” deep including base molding) than the upper shelving units and crown (12” deep including crown molding). PICK UP ON SUN 3/27 -- Be sure you can make the pick up on Sun 3/27 by 5 pm or one of the next two days, Mon 3/28 or Tue 3/29, by 5 pm. My time is up in Santa Monica, so I won’t be able to hold or store. PICK UP BY A FRIEND? -- If you don't live in the area and if you are willing to coordinate packing and shipping logistics through a friend or a specialist like Craters & Freighters, then by all means I'll be happy to open my place for the visit of the friend or the packer/shipper whom you line up. FRAGILE LOAD -- Keep in mind that the glass in this antique makes for a fragile load. MONTANA AVE & LINCOLN BLVD -- On receiving payment, I’ll forward contact info and address of my place (which is about a block from the corner of Montana Ave and Lincoln Blvd in Santa Monica CA).
