Vintage 1953 all original Coronation panel flag. Land of Hope and Glory! Medium Union Jack statement flag which measures 5 ft 8” x 3ft It belonged to my Grandfather and was last used for her M ajesty the Queen’s C oronation in 1953 . It has been stored in Grandfather's trunk which is shown in some photos but please note* the trunk is not included in this sale! 31 Individual Panels of rough post-war linen. Original rope and toggle for lanyard attachment. Beautiful bright colours with no fading. Unfortunately it was rained on by some heavy showers on coronation day and as a result the colour has run in areas but if you look at the photographs you will see that it simply does not affect this stunning flag, it still looks amazing in any setting. Perfect for the forthcoming Diamond Jubilee celebrations & for the 2012 London Olympics! Scattering of tiny moth holes which in no way detract from this thing of beauty Suitable for Internal Display or this Union Jack flag can be used for dramatic draping as seen in the photographs of my family home! British eccentric & quirky Postage can be special delivery which is an extra service charged by Royal Mail to guarantee delivery for Saturday.
