Up for auction is a stemmed glass from the GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY. It is in mint condition. The glass is 5 1/8" high & is 2 1/8" in diameter a the top. The base is 2" in diameter. This design is actually cut into the glass & not etched on top of the glass. T are 3 lines cut around the top of the glass & the Goat logo cut below the lines. The logo is approximately 1" in diameter. According the "Sparkling Crystal" by Larry R. Paul, this is a stemmed wine glass. The logo was used from 1937-1967 & were believed to by made by Libbey Glass Co. The glass does not have any maker's mark on it. This piece was bought from an estate auction who collected railroad items for more than 30 years. A great piece to add to your Great Northern railroad collection.
