Well it is official!! The Ocean Japser mines have been closed and now, like many of our most beautiful materials, the only pieces you can get are from collections and wholesalers who have been hoarding some old stock.
All the way from Madagascar w it can only be mined at certain times of the year when the tides are low because that is w it is found - literally, in the ocean. This is Ocean Jasper! Very unique! Very special! And, very hard to come by. Check the May and June issues of Lapidary Journal (2000) for articles about this fantastic find which has been lost for many years. is a awesome and breathtaking slab - perfect for displaying as a bit on the thin side but could still be made into shallow cab or doublets - it ia a nice sized slab in green,red, gold, tan and white - with some perfectly formed orbs - and delightful druzy pockets perfect for cab-making!! Measures 5 1/4" x 3" x 3/16" down to 1/8+"
All slabs have been moistened with water in order to show what they would look like when polished.

GENERAL INFORMATION: I have been selling on eBay since 1998 and have recently moved and brought my mother from Florida to live with us. Since I am semi-retired and we now live in the country 4 miles from the post office, orders will only be sent once a week so, if you are in a great hurry for a slab, please do not bid. I have an extremely generous "open box" policy and will keep your order open for up to 3 weeks. eBay, however, will not add some older auctions to your list so you MUST follow the instructions below to pay all at once.
INVOICES: PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST AN INVOICE THROUGH EBAY OR PAYPAL - ALL SUCH REQUESTS WILL BE IGNORED!! (See PAYMENTS & PAYPAL IF YOU NEED HELP WITH PAYING) as, generally, they will not include older auctions and I cannot make changes to them. I use my own Invoicing system and it is the only invoice you will receive from me - they are usually automatically sent the morning after auctions' end and will combine all items. This is the official total and you can pay from any current invoice as the most recent notice will always be your correct combined total. Once in a while I may be away at a rock show for the weekend - so don't panic as invoices will be sent as soon as I return - usually Monday or Tuesday.
