Goebel Friar Tuck monk beermug / tankard T 74/0 – TMK- 3, Stylised Bee Goebel Friar Tuck monk beer mug / tankard T 74/0. ¼ litre capacity; 4 inches ( 10.2 cm ) tall. 195gm unpacked. Impressed model mark on base, and 1960-1972 blue TMK-3 (Stylised Bee in an incised circle) and black transfer “ Western Germany ” below and to the right. Excellent condition, with no crazing to the glaze, and no rubs, scratches or chips to the paint. Goebel issued about 125 different items immortalising Friar Tuck, the roly-poly monk who was one of Robin Hood’s Merry Men. The line was introduced in the early 1950s and was eventually discontinued in 1988.
