A French Gold Pocket WatchThe watch was bought by my Grandfather during the First Wold War, that is the best I can do to date it. There are no makers mark's that I can Find. The Case appears to be gold but no marks. Inside the back cover are two sets of stamped numbers; 23317 and 42868, this might mean something to someone in the know, but not to me. the inside cover (base metal) is engraved; echappement a cylinder 4 rubis. On the inside of this cover is stamped 23317 and the letter F. The case is dented and the glass is missing. Any queries or questions PLEASE ask, I will tell you what I can.
