is an beautiful rare and vintage French Nouveau style lamp, most likely made for a leaded panel or art glass shade. It is in suprisingly good condition, with a large crystal faceted ball mounted in between the green alabaster bobeshes and gold plated ornate bronze designs. All of this is mounted on a finely molded base of steel or pot metal, which has been lacquered, plated and mounted with gilt bronze flowers in ormolu fashion. Two of these have been replaced with plaster copies, which are quite good. It is in working condition and has one original Hubbell socket shell, which is marked with the Hubbell globe and gold plated. The other shell was lost and is not the original and is not gold plated. Both switches have been replaced with new and working ones. I have the one original Hubbell socket interior, non working and intact, and will include it with the lamp. It has an adjustable harp, and this is a very solid and heavy lamp. It would easily support a glass shade of any form. The lamp weighs about 12 lbs or more, and the base is VERY heavy, even though it is small. The acorn finial is very accurate, but is not the original. T is a spot on the base w t was a paper label, which is gone. It was a larger one, and I wonder what it said....'Handel'? 'Tiffany'? It was probably pretty good, this is an exceptional lamp. Extremely good condition overall, with some wear to the gold in places. No cracks or chips of any kind to the crystal or alabaster. Measures 22-26" in height. Finial is 3/8. Has a base width of 4" x 4". Would take a wide shade (maybe up to 14" !) with a height of about 3-6", but on the more shallow side. An incredible piece, in very good condition and ready to use! Please see my other listings for more exceptional vintage lighting and other interesting items. I will ship this anyw in the world!
