Truly A Rare Beauty!! The Imperial Noble lady is adorned with gold and turquoise as a Noble Lady should be! Exquisitely outstanding!!! Beware....because the Chinese sellers have been copying my pictures. They do not have this merchandise!! The Phoenix head dress is real gold mesh! Accented with inserts of glass enamel cloisonne and turquoise drops. Her hair in the back is wound with gold starlets. The Noble Lady is holding a calligraphy scrool. ~~~Reading is a requisition of a Noble Lady~~~ Her attire is the Noble dress with gold gilt. A rich accent of real gold foil is fired under the cloisonne border adorning her robe. Emanates sparkles of richness in the light! She emanates beauty!! Pictures do not come close!! Her face and hands are made from a mix of elephant tusk and resin. Many figures with this particular quality are mistaken for solid tusk. This Seller is honest. Figures at later dates have plastic hands and face, so sad! Today's figures are terrible looking with new cloisonne and plastic. As my clients know - not fond of reserves, but have no choice with an item this extremely fine. The reserve is a fraction of value! The Lady was made in the earlier mid 1900's. The cloisonné is impeccable - rich with details and numerous patterns. The figure was older when taken from China. It has been stored in a warehouse since the late 1980's and has never been used. The lady stands 14-1/2" high and is mounted to a custom wooden stand. Truly a priceless art of the old Masters!! Buyer pays shipping and insurance via Postal service. Because Postal cost varies, please email for quote. Seller will pay packing and handling. Will be packed with extreme care. Seller will combine auctions to save Buyer unnecessary shipping costs.. Combining auctions will be limited due to the fragile nature of this item.
