This smaller sized Kalacakra Mandala is done all in pure gold paint on a black background. Measures about 8 & 1/2 inches on each side, between the thin gold lines. Check out my other items ! This thangka is not mounted in brocade and unfortunately I cannot provide that service. I want to make clear that in no way, shape or form do I represent myself as an expert on Tibetan iconography or thangka painting. I am just a beginner in understanding this profound art form. Please compare my detailed thangka photos to other thangkas available on eBay to determine the quality. Don't bother to compare them to the extremely low quality glut of fake "antique" or "old" "Tibetan" thangkas from China that have flooded the market in the last few years. T IS no comparison with these fakes that are as iconographically as incorrect as you can possibly find! I haven't seen a genuine antique Tibetan thangka on ebay in MANY years. Not only has China 's brutal regime been systematically eliminating Tibet 's culture and religion in Tibet , they are ruining the art of thangka painting w it is barely hanging on in exile in Nepal and India . I strive to provide the best quality thangkas for the price on eBay. They are all original paintings done with mineral pigments and pure gold paint on canvas. The Kalacakra Tantra - "Tantra of the Wheel of Time" - speaks of three closely interwoven levels, the so-called "outer", "inner" and "alternative" or "other" wheels of time. The "outer wheel of time" comprises the outward appearances of the whole human environment, namely the universe with its element discs, Mount Meru, the winds and its rhythm of time. The "inner Kalacakra" is made up of what lives in this environment, human beings, whose structure, composition, and "inner periodicity" correspond exactly with that of the outer wheel of time. The "other Kalacakra", finally, is the teaching of these analogies and correlations, as well as the resulting yoga practice, a kind of "mental judo": one uses the powers in the outer and inner wheels of time instead of opposing them.
