This is a custom made family heirloom Shriners ring made in the mid 1970's. The ring is 14K yellow gold with 14 round diamonds set in platinum. There are 2 larger diamonds in which the appraisal says are approx 1/3 ct each with 12 smaller diamonds with a total wt of 1ct. One of the larger diamonds is said to be a "mine cut" diamond with a cut and clarity rating of SI/1, G in color. I was told the ring has a 21.4 penny wt. On one side of the ring is the masonic symbol with a small diamond and on the other side is a Scottish Rite symbol with another small diamond. The ring weighs over 1 ounce with the ring size being 11.5. The appraisal for this ring was done in march of 1998 reflecting a value of $2495, with the increases in gold prices over the years it has probably doubled since then.
