The Confederate Mining Co. Gold Palmetto The Confederate mining co. is proud to announce the striking of a new size and weight of gold coin for 2012. The Gold Palmetto 1.2+ gram gold coin. The coin measures 11mm by 1 mm thick. The coins are hand struck like all C.M.C. coins. The coin pictured is a typical coin they vary from one to another slightly because of striking by hand. The gold is from our placer deposit in upstate Spartanburg S.C. . The obverse of the coin has a palmetto tree and the letters SC. The reverse has crossed picks with CMC and the date in Roman numerals. Like all CMC coins the mintage will be very low. These coins are very beautiful and would make a nice addition to any rare coin collection.
