LOT 250 Seller's Estimate: USD 4,000 - 6,000 Gold, Platinum, Sapphire and Diamond Ring, France 18 kt., the bombe mount centering one bezel-set modified oval sapphire approximately 8.5 x 7.7 x 5.22 mm., surrounded by 16 platinum-set old-mine cut diamonds approximately .50 ct., and 9 collet-set round cabochon sapphires, with French assay mark , circa 1940, approximately 8.5 dwts. Size 7 1/4. With AGL report no. CS 66708 stating that the sapphire is of Burma (Myanmar) origin, no gemological evidence of heat or clarity enhancement. C Condition Report: Sapphire: deep blue, moderately included, several minor nicks on crown facets, minor scratch by edge of table, lively. Upper right area of gold bezel of slightly irregularity, one small area of gold cut out, slightly visible to eye. With AGL report, Burma origin, gemological evidence or heat or clarity enhancement. Cabochon sapphires: medium to deep blue, translucent, good polish, 2 sapphires with one large and one medium chip at top of stones, slightly visible to eye, several minor abrasions & nicks. Diamonds: H-I-J-VS-SI, several Imp., 2 with chips at table edges. Overall good condition. Well-made. Width of center 11/16".
