This is an absolutely beautiful piece of medium weight meisen silk. Meisen silk is smooth and quite stiff and slightly shiny. The design is woven in and the back is a negative of the front. The design is incredible but it is the colors that are amazing. i seriously took 20 pictures of this fabric and each picture shows a different color. The color is darker than the photo suggests in the first picture. Look at brown and Darkred at /html/html_colornames.asp and sort of mix them up a bit. The fabric has tiny tiny stripes of redish brown and black. They are so tiny that you can't see them unless you look very closely. You may be able to see them in the second photo. In the second photo I have turned the top of the fabric over so you can see the back of it. The flowers are a golden khaki and the stems are woven in black. This fabric is absolutely incredible. i think the second picture is a better representation of the color of the fabric.You are bidding on 14"x60"Different monitors vary slightly so the color in the picture may be slightly different from that of the photo. This picture was taken in natural sunlight. Shipping from Japan to America, Europe and Oceania airmail will cost US$3.50. We will do what we can to combine shipping for multiple purchases.We try to ship everyday except on weekends and national holidays. Our fabric comes from new and used Japanese kimono and yukata. The fabric has been picked but the threads have not been removed and we DO NOT iron. We apologize for not ironing, but do not apologize for not wanting to. This is a 2 women operation, and like most women we are busy 24/7, if something if different from how it was portrayed in the listing please contact us and we will do anything we can to remedy the problem as we value our customers very highly. T will always be pinholes from w the stitching has been removed (unless it says new) we check our fabric for stains and holes but as we have not yet fully come into our superhero powers, some may slip past us.
