See the scans. From the 1940 San Francisco, California "alternate World's Fair" for the West Coast and Pacific Rim, this is a souvenir bracelet from the Golden Gate Exposition. Held on Treasure Island and opened in 1939 to celebrate the completion of the Golden Gate and the Oakland Bay Bridge, the fair had some great exhibits with a California, western and Pacific theme. It was very popular with the many people who could not afford the trip all the way east to visit the 1939 World's Fair in New York City. As with all of the fair's souvenirs were popular. This well-made bracelet is about 6 1/2" long and has two American flag charms, a Golden Gate International Exposition charm and the letters and numbers "SAN FRANCISCO 1940." Generally excellent condition. A nice display item. Great gift for the San Franciscan or fair collector. NOTE: I am very good about getting my orders out promptly, sometimes same day and almost always within 24 hours. However, lately the U.S. postal "service" has been very spotty. In the last several months, I have had first class insured items take over a month to California and two weeks in New York State. Most are delivered in a timely fashion, but a few are not.
