For sale with No Reserve is this vintage and what could be considered as harder to find Golden Oak "Montgomery Ward" Wall Telephone The phone has a brass tag on the front that reads " Montgomery Ward Chicago, New York, Kansas City, Fort Worth and Portland " The majority of the time oak wall phones like this do not have such a tag, as they were generally made by Western Electric, Kellogg or some other popular manufacture. The phone measures 20 1/2" tall by 8 1/2" wide (n/i switch hook) and about 14" deep. The color of the golden oak is such that I would imagine it was or had been refinished sometime in the last 20 years or so. Besides the brass tag on the front the receiver is marked as "Kellogg Switchboard and Supply Company Chicago". The only possible apologies are that both the receiver screw on cap as well as the writing tray have been cracked and glued back together. T is some minimal pitting or slight rust on the switch hook. The only other things worth noting are that t is some remnants of paint on the back, and the nickle plated plate behind the mouthpiece is starting to show some tarnish. The previous "owner / refinisher" apparently went to the extent of replacing and then using a cloth cord very similar to what would have been originally t At least I think it is a replacement but am not all that sure.
