Golden Replicas of United States Stamps Proof Replicas Plated with 22K Gold (3) 10" x 14" Binders ~ Total of 245 Stamps Represented
Presented for Auction are three Binder Sets of Golden Replicas of United States Stamps originally offered by the Postal Commemorative Society. One binder is titled "Golden Replicas of U.S. Classic Stamps", containing 97 replicas ranging from 1847 to 1930. Each stamp is represented by a proof replica plated with 22 karat gold and an oversized reproduction of the original stamp. Accompanying information cards offer details and history for each Issue. The second and third binders are titled "Golden Replicas of United States Stamps" and contain a proof replica plated with 22 karat gold, an original, First Day of Issue stamp and information card for each stamp presented. The second binder contains 75 replicas and FDI stamps ranging from October 12, 1990 to June 1, 1992. The third binder contains 73 replicas and FDI stamps ranging from June 11, 1992 to July 30, 1993. The binders show some minor exterior shelf wear and the replicas, stamps and information cards inside are in great condition.
