A Goldscheider Art Deco figurine group designed by Karl Perl in 1920.A young girl plays with a snake and leopard on a large diameter base. Signed by the artist and well decorated. 26.5 cm high and around 27 cm diameter. The figurine is in excellent condition but a firing crack can be seen on the base which extends about half way across the diameter but which is not discernible on the upper viewed surface. A small chip on the base has been professionally restoredThis group is quite rare and is typical of Goldscheiders production during the period from 1910 - 1922.This item is from the Smartiques collection which can be viewed on . Note added photographs showing Goldscheider number 5025, 60 (or80), 65 embossed onto upper side similar to embossed Block capitals K Perl.
