Up for auction is a vintage gondola design sofa / davenport / couch. This awesome piece can work well with several different Mid Century decors . Instead of your typical legs, the platform base with its arch detail is very modern . Most exciting beyond the great looks is the fantastic condition . This is a super clean sofa that comes from a smoke and pet free atmosp . T is no odors and a vintage piece in condition like this will surely give you years of pleasure. The fabric is soft and durable, similar to a heavy chenille - almost velvet. Two slight mentions, which do not detract from the overall fabulous-ness of this item: The wooden balls on the top shoulder line got a little scratched on the back by some not so incompetent movers. This is seems that it would be easily masked and could be quickly painted, or lightly sanded and re-stained. These balls also unscrew by hand and could be just left off the piece. The other mention is on the back, down towards the platform t is a slight cut in the fabric. This too seems to be repairable with maybe a little hand stitching. I have detailed both of the minor elements in close-up photos. These are all very minor. Measures approx.: 7½ ft. long. 28" tall at back, 32" deep, 15" floor to seat, and 20" floor to top of armrest.
