Description In May of 1939, an historic scene took place in the filming of the greatest movie of all time, GONE WITH THE WIND. The setting was the back steps of Tara and the scene showed the hungry, war-worn Confederate soldiers returning home after the war. In this scene, Melanie (played by Olivia deHavilland) and her son , Beau (played by Ric Holt), sat on the back steps talking with hungry soldiers (one of them portrayed by Plilip Trent), and learned of the possibility that Ashley was still alive and maybe on his way back home to them. This scene is considered by many to be one of the most poignant scenes in the film. Remarkably, after almost 60 years, Plilip Trent, who played a "Hungry Soldier", and Ric Holt who played Melanie's young son "Beau", were reunited at Mr. Trent's 90th Birthday Party on October 16, 1997.
