. Bigger and better than most. Pictured as found, covered with grease, grime and dust. No rust. Only two things wrong with it that I see. Wooden part of crank handle has a crack, and is heavy as heck which would run the price of shipping up a bit. No name cast into it or markings.. some traces of red paint showing through Seems to look like a Champion Blower and Forge model, but I don't know. Overall dimensions roughly 22 inches from top to bottom, 16" left to right. Flywheel-crank measures 14½ in diameter, and has more weight to it than others. Drill socket is for 1/2" shank drill bits. Made about 100 years ago and used back then in every blacksmith shop and on many farms of that era... these hand cranked "post drills" were capable of drilling almost anything a modern drill press could handle. Ratcheting feed at the top advances itself automatically down when the wheel is turned.. still works of course, and is pretty impressive just to look at. True atmosp or for use in any old-tyme blacksmith shop, farming & machinery show, or for historical display, etc. If you have long thought about owning one of these old post drills for your shop.. this would be a good chance... at a reasonable price.
