This is a set of six good Victorian sterling dinner forks, weighing a total of 17.81 ounces. The hallmarks are right: leopard's head, lion passant, Queen's head, date stamp gothic "I" for 1864-1865, and maker's mark of WS in a rectange, probably William Smiley, active 1871. Just under 8 1/4" long. Some wear to tines, scratches commensurate with age -- a good set of forks at a very fair price compared with the price of silver. No reserve. As requested, I've included new (not good, just new) pictures with a close up of the tines. Two are obviously worn, four are good. I attempt to describe items and their condition accurately, and certainly without excluding material defects. I will refund your money if t is a materially inaccurate description of the item or its description, but not over a quibble simply because of buyer's regret. I don't refund shipping costs.
