For sale is the most gorgeous antique cast iron Ivy Franklin Stove I've ever seen. T is a beautiful bennington tile of Franklin's profile that measures 4" square in the middle of the front as shown. On each side of that is a rosette style bennington tile that measures 1 3/4" square. On top is a larger rosette style tile that raises up in the center and measures 3 3/4" square. Also notice on the top, the open ivy pattern that is in perfect shape. I assume that is why this is named IVY FRANKLIN on the front as shown. The mica in the front door that lifts off may be original or may be replaced but is in perfect shape-(I don't know what to look for!) You can see the ivy pattern all over the front & sides & feet of this stove. The feet slide into slots on the bottom & are in perfect shape. The back has a patent date as shown of 1885 and the inside of the feet & other pieces also have 85 on them. On the left side of the base it is marked RICHMOND STOVE CO and on the right side of the stove base it is marked NORWICH CONN. The stove stands 37" high x 28" wide x 22" deep. The only flaw I see is a crack on the bottom middle of the little cast iron piece that holds the left rosette tile on the front as shown in the one picture. The bennington piece on top has some cracks in it but does not detract from the tile. The firebrick on the inside read more
