We are having to sell things we have collected over the years to fund repairs to our boiler and 22 cast iron radiators in France after -20 temperatures in February. For sale is a large and really lovely 19th Century 3 seat sofa settee with Bergere cane seat, back and sides and the original wheels are all intact and in working order. There are two velour cushions we believe are stuffed with we horsehair. Genuine low start price, however we have this for sale elsewhere and if we get a good offer we will remove this listing and also if there is no interest. 1.8 Metres Long 80cm Depth Seat Cushion 85cm x 56 cm Floor to top front of cane side 75cm Floor to top back end of cane side 80cm Floor to seat Condition: The side cane needs repairing on the left side and there is a small hole or two in the back. The seat is intact. There has been a repair on the back. And one or two joints are loose but could easily be repaired . However with soft side and back cushions on the settee you would never notice the damage. This is a resoration project, you could remove the cane and have it upholstered, I have seen one on an antiques website with cream linen selling for £4500. Can be delivered by prior arrangement within 10 miles of Walton Train Station for £1.50 a mile or collected from our lock up in Wandsworth by prior arrangement only. read more
