Lovely Antique Gilt Carved Wood French Style Mirror The frame of this mirror is carved, gilt and has a beautiful patina. The carving features a ribbon and bow over a crosshatch oval surrounded by acanthus leaves and rope with tassles. A Greek key design on the sides at the base finish it. I believe the age of this piece to be about 80 to 85 years old. T are some minor chips and hairline cracks in the wood, but none noticeable except on careful inspection. The mirror has no apparent scratches, cracks or chips, however the silvering is showing some wear. I've covered the mirror in the pictures to acommodate the flash of the camera. The overall measurements are 36-3/4" high by 22"wide. The mirror itself is 19-1/2" high by 15-1/4 wide. It still has the paper covering on the back though it is torn.
