This has to be one of the sweetest late Victorian early Edwardian little dresses! The color is a striking Christmas red, truly a gorgeous rich shade that the images just do not convey. It is trimmed with ivory lace along the neckline and cuffs. There is exquisite silk hand embroidery work on the bodice and front and back collar as well as all along the bottom. The back closure has pretty dyed to match red mother of pearl buttons. It is a most strikingly beautiful dress. The interior of the bodice is lined and looks to be professional made by a seamstress. The little dress is very doll size! It measures about 10 inches from under arm to under arm, the sleeves which is very full and gorgeous, are 8 inches in length plus 2 inches of lace trim, The dress is 19 inches in length. The condition is excellent but for moth holes, however because of the dresss fullness, it is very difficult to see the holes unless held to light. It is a most beautiful little dress to display or dress your large doll, giving her a break from the little Victorian-Edwardian white dresses. How pretty for Christmas!
