GORGEOUS CHINESE PORCELAIN OPIUM PILLOW VIBRANT HAND PAINTED IMAGERY WITH DRAGON AND LOTUS DESIGN Exceptional Chinese porcelain opium pillow. The finest we have ever offered. Colorful hand-painted decoration on all sides. Cobalt blue background with overglaze polychrome enamels depicting numerous dragons, lotus blossoms, peaches, and opium poppy pods, surrounded by ornate banded patterning. This opium pillow is absolutely stunning, and in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. It should be noted that the glazing style is imperfect in places, however this adds to the artistry and hand craftsmanship of the piece. The vibrant colors are eye catching from all the way across the room. A beautiful example of early 20th century Chinese porcelain, and a superb centerpiece for the collector of rare Chinese antiques.
