QUEZAL COLLECTORS: AFTER SELLING THIS VASE LAST NIGHT TO A DEALER ON EBAY, I DISCOVERED IN PREPARING IT FOR SHIPPING THAT IT HAS A SMALL FLAW ON THE UPPER RIM THAT I FAILED TO INCLUDE IN MY WRITTEN DESCRIPTION, EVEN THOUGH I INCLUDED A PHOTO OF IT IN THE LISTING. SO, I WROTE TO THE BUYER AND OFFERED TO CANCEL HIS PURCHASE AND RE-LIST IT, AND HE ACCEPTED MY OFFER. THUS, I AM RE-LISTING IT NOW AND I AM REDUCING THE RESERVE BY $200 TO $800 VS. THE $1000 RESERVE ON THE ORIGINAL LISTING. I AM ALSO GOING TP MAKE IT A BUY IT NOW AT $900, WHICH IS A FANTASTIC DEAL. THIS IS A GREAT PIECE AND WORTHY OF ANY COLLECTION. BELOW PLEASE FIND MY ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION, WITH MODIFICATION TO REFLECT THE FIRING FLAWS.Art glass collectors, is a spectacular, vintage footed vase by Quezal. The base is signed Quezal, and I am told by an expert on this highly collectible studio that the mark is the silver signature of the Larson period, circa 1921-1924. It is clearly a fantastic early piece in excellent condition with virtually no damage except for a very minor firing flaw --- no scratches, chips, nicks, etc. The only flaws are some pin prick size firing bubbles in the rim, one of which has actually become a 2mm x 3mm fleck. Please look at it closely in the last three photos, both to be sure you see it and to see the perspective of how very small it is. The previous buyer is an active EBay member and dealer in Kenosha, WI who needed to buy it at a price for re-sale and he thought the piece was fantastic and the $1000 price was fair, but feared the firing flaw might affect re-sale. So, I was happy to cancel the sale. Now, at the re-listed Buy It Now price of $900, it is a great buy for any collector who wants to enjoy it at home as my wife and I have for nearly 20 years. FYI, we originally bought it from a very well known dealer, Atellier Antiques, on the Galt Ocean Mile in Ft. Lauderdale. The vase measures 7.75" tall by 4.50" wide at the shoulders, with a base that is a little larger than 4.50" in diameter. Please feel free to call me with any other questions: Terry @ . Also, be sure to check out my other items for sale on EBay. My wife and I are reducing our 30-year collection in preparation for a move out of state in early 2009. We are selling over $35,000 worth of high end merchandise, including choice pieces of Tiffany, Quezal, Faure, Steuben, Baccarat, French guilloche enamel, Moorcroft, Dedham, English porcelain, Webb, S.Kirk & Son, Gorham, Shiebler, Sevres, Nippon, Venetian glass, and much more. Please take time to look, and thanks a million for your interest.
