Beautiful vibrant flowers--variety of colors used to be a bridle harness rosette I think but the ring has been removed and replaced with a clip was in my mother's jewelry box (from her mother)...don't know much about it. could maybe be used on a scarf or used as decoration for some craft, or converted back to original form i guess. nice vintagey feel to it. great for flower lovers or those who collect horse-related antiques some background Bridle rosettes–functional objects that stabilised the bridle headstall, beautifully decorated and often imbued with family, political, or social symbols–are “roadmaps of America,” spanning the last 200 years and reminding us of the major contribution of the horse to the development of the country. Over 10,000 different varieties were produced between c. 1850 and 1930. Posted with eBay Mobile
