This gorgeous Garnet bracelet originated in the Victorian era as a long & quite complicated neck piece. I had the privilege to see a photograph of the original owner wearing the very elaborate necklace. It was inherited by my client's Mother in the early 50's. She had it re-designed by a local Jeweler, and it re-emerged as a bracelet! The beautiful 14K, Rhodolite Garnet & Natural Pearl clasp came from another piece & was suitably "married" into this bracelet!

Both dramatic and pretty, it makes a very strong statement. You will not wear this without notice!

There are 342 unfaceted, tumble polished natural Garnets strung on silk in 9 strands - weighing a total of 450.00 Carats! The substantial 14K clasp (which measures about 1" around) is in the shape of a flower made up of 6 petals mounted on a substantial base. In the center of the flower is a 9-10 mm natural pearl surrounded by 10 faceted & claw set Rhodolite Garnets. The faceted Garnets in the clasp weigh a total .40 Ct. Tongue & groove closure is completed with a figure eight safety latch.

The bracelet measures 7.25" flat and was designed to fit comfortably, but close to the wrist. Keep in mind that the clasp is l full inch, with the Tongue measuring 1/2" - so the wearing size is about 6.75" - 7". This is suited to a lady with a small wrist. Note the photo of the hand shot. My wrist measures 6.25 and it...just fits me.

CONDITION: Very fine antique condition. The Garnets are deep and glorious in colour, emitting beautiful light refractions. A very few of the beads show some wear, well in keeping with age. Hand made clasp is in excellent condition with a light patina. I see a slight bend in the photographs on one of the petals which I did not notice in the "real". This will be corrected by our Jeweler. Ten faceted round garnets are hand set and secure with all claws in excellent condition. Natural pearl sits firmly, secured with a hidden post. Tongue shows wear but remains in fully functional condition. Marked with the letter "T" and engraved with 14K. Origin of clasp is unknown. While the original Garnet neck piece was from England, it is likely the Garnets themselves were imported from elsewhere. Total weight of bracelet and clasp: 97.10 Grams!
