A few weeks ago I created a reproduction of Patti's purple dress and striped organdy pinafore set. When it was finished I thought how beautiful it would be to modify the pinafore a little bit to use with a gorgeous piece of vintage fabric I had. The result is this beautiful dress and pinafore set. It is identical to the original set with the exception of the modified neckline on the pinafore. The dress is made of a pretty baby pink cotton blend fabric. Since I bought this piece I have looked and looked for a shade of pink this delicate and there seems to be none to be found! Everything I have found since has been darker. The dress has a lace trimmed Peter Pan collar and Patti's standard puff sleeves also edged with lace. It has an attached slip that I trimmed in a delicate white wide lace and the bodice is fully lined. Her pinafore is made of the most beautiful vintage dotted Swiss cotton with flocked flowers all over it. It is likely from the same era as Patti herself!! The edges of the pinafore bodice and it's skirt are trimmed in a pretty white lace and it closes in the back with hand sewn snaps and sash ties for a pretty bow finish.
