I went for a walk this evening thinking about what I could say to convey to others how special this 1924 Dunhill Bulldog pipe is. It is the first Dunhill pipe I ever owned and its shape is my favorite. It is not a pipe I dug out of a box in a junk shop and threw on e-bay to make a quick buck. I have owned this pipe for a very long time. It has been my steady friend. We have spent countless hours together sorting through the day’s stressors and disappointments. We have also spent a lot of time together making new plans. A dyed in the wool pipe smoker will understand what I’m saying. If you find a special pipe like this and you Since this pipe is so special, I have taken care of it to maintain its character and ambiance. There are a few tooth marks that have been expertly filled and are hardly visible unless in very bright light. Yes, the stem is original with the white dot. The bowl is large and in excellent condition. The shank markings are light in areas, yet obvious. Photos do not convey this pipes beauty. It is a very dry smoker and seems to be specially suited for Virginia blends. Basically, this pipe has been an absolute joy. Unfortunately, I have determined it is time to move on and sell off some of my pipes. One like this from the 1920’s in this kind of condition does not appear on e-bay often, yet is very desirable.
