Absolutely gorgeous white ironstone pitcher or large ewer in the Sydenham pattern by T R Boote. This is an early desirable shape with a beautiful glossy glaze and that beautiful white of old, good quality ironstone. It measures 12 1/4 inches tall and 8 inches wide, including the handle. No chips, cracks or crazing, just a little wear on the spout and two tiny nibbles or flea bites on the base. T is a spot w the glaze has pooled a little near the base, but overall in wonderful condition for its age. Sharp, clear embossing of Sydenham shields. The set dates to the 1850's when the most fabulous shapes were potted. Impressed on the base with the maker's mark and the diamond registration mark.I have listed the matching wash bowl in a separate listing. The last photo shows the two pieces together. This auction is for the pitcher only. Insurance is based on the final price.
