Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-lined bisque shoulder plate with sculpted bosom and shoulder blades, blue glass paperweight inset eyes of very luminous depth, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked brows with sculpting detail, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils of rounded nose, closed mouth with defined tongue tip between the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, dimpled chin, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, Bru kid bebe body with scalloped-ridge collarette, kid over wooden upper arms, bisque forearms and sculpted fingers, hinged thighs, wooden lower legs, lovely antique white lace dress, undergarments, silk ruffled bonnet, black leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, bisque perfect throughout, few body patches. Marks: Bru Jne 11 (shoulder plate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1884. Value Points: exceptional beauty of the classic Bru bebe with refined sculpting of lips, brows, and chin, superb quality of bisque and painting. Estimate: 25,000/29,000
