I believe this is an early Rollalite probably from the late 1930s to the early 1940s. It has a U.S. Patent No.2,102,108 on the bottom, as you can see, which corresponds to a patent date of 1937. This is a beautiful Dunhill as I hope my photos show. It is gold plated with a vertical stripe design as shown. This is a wick and flint lighter that just needs some lighter fluid to become functional. The flint-wheel assembly works well producing a strong spark. This Dunhill has been used, but well cared for. It shows just minimal signs of wear; the external case looks almost unused. As you can see, t is a spare flint storage receptacle on the underside of the fuel screw. Also, the initials 'W.E.T.' have been professionally and very nicely done on the top of the top which has a strong spring and snaps shut. this lighter is about 2 1/2 inches tall. Overall, a wonderful example of a fairly early Dunhill Rollalite in great condition that I believe the winner will be very happy with. NOTE: Italian postal regulations prohibit the mailing of lighters to Italy. Tfore, I cannot accept any bids from Italy. So, if you are located in Italy, please do not bid on my item.
