Extraordinary piece of antique art! Dated back to the mid 1800's this piece is in great condition. Marked Haviland, this Austria vase is simply exquisite and most definitely the work of a very talented and gifted artist. Beautifully hand painted, the maiden has an ethereal presence as she modestly drapes herself with an almost sheerlike material. The color palette is mouthwatering. In shades of creamy antique ivory and beige, lucious greens and Victorian blues. The handle and top ruffled rim are done in rich gold and in excellent condition. Notice the lifelike ocean with breaking white water waves behind the most surreal tree you ever did see! Even a few seagulls flying around~ just fabulous is this vase! The measurements are 12" high and approx. 5" wide at base. Questions are always welcome. Thank you.
